1. Do you have standard sizes or configurations?
No, all our windows, doors and curtain walling systems are manufactured to customers' specific requirements from our tried and tested sections.
2. Are the Fairoak component sections alterable?
Our product ranges have been developed and tested using our standard sections, and our machinery is set up with permanent tooling, so that we can guarantee the performance of our windows and doors. Alteration is therefore not possible, although we are able to offer a square section casement bead in place of the standard item.
3. How can I obtain a quotation?
Send your plans or schedule to our address. We can accept enquiries by post, fax or email. Please make sure that you include details of opening configurations, timber, glass and finish requirements.
4. How can I be sure that you are making what I want?
Once we have received an order, we produce full working drawings, which show every window and door that has been ordered, together with manufacturing and structural sizes and specification details. We do not commence manufacture until you have checked that we have correctly interpreted your requirements, and signed and returned the drawings to us.
5. Who is responsible for taking site dimensions?
This responsibility rests with you or your builder. We normally allow 10mm tolerance all round between structural opening sizes and manufacturing dimensions, however larger screens or uneven reveal openings may require more.
6. How long will I have to wait for my windows and doors?
Our normal lead time is 6 weeks from our receipt of the signed approved drawings (see answer 4 above). During busy times this can be extended by up to 2 weeks.
7. What are your payment terms?
Our standard payment terms are a 50% deposit with order, with the balance to be paid prior to delivery, or when the goods have been manufactured, if delivery is delayed by you.
8. What are your terms and conditions of sale?
A copy of our terms and conditions of sale is always sent with a quotation, and can also be supplied on request. Terms can also be viewed by clicking here.
